Major protests have broken out in multiple cities in China with thousands of protestors taking to the streets in Shanghai where protesters are demanding the resignation of Xi Jinping over the country's ongoing Zero COVID-19 approach.   Public anger initially flared after a deadly apartment block fire which killed ten people, including three children. Many blamed the ongoing lockdown restrictions for preventing rescue efforts.   In this episode, I give a breakdown of what we know so far and explore the importance of the ongoing pushback on global restrictions.
