Walter Isaacson: “The Code Breaker” | SALT Talks #212
SALT Talks - A podcast by SALT

Walter Isaacson is the Author of “The Code Breaker: Jennifer Doudna, Gene Editing, and the Future of the Human Race”. Isaacson is famous for writing Steve Jobs and Leonardo da Vinci, so a title like The Code Breaker might imply a lesser book about a lesser character. But 2020 Nobel winner Jennifer Doudna, who developed the gene editing technology CRISPR, is a giant in her own right. CRISPR could open some of the greatest opportunities, and most troubling quandaries, of this century—and this book delivers. Isaacson is a Professor of History at Tulane and an advisory partner at Perella Weinberg, a financial services firm based in New York City. He is the past CEO of the Aspen Institute, where he is now a Distinguished Fellow, and has been the chairman of CNN and the editor of TIME magazine. ————————————————————————— For podcast transcripts and show notes, visit salt.org/talks Watch this video on YouTube: https://youtu.be/1gfTyPcIH7Y Developed, created and produced by SALT Venture Group, LLC.
