Preparing His Bride | May 3, 2025 Your heart is soil designed to grow life. Like any garden, what flourishes there depends on what seeds are planted and how they're nurtured. Every seed carries within it the complete genetic blueprint of what it will become when fully grown. Be vigilant about what enters your soil. Various winds—through music, culture, entertainment, and relationships—are constantly scattering seeds into your heart. Many lie dormant until the right conditions activate them, sometimes years later. Not all seeds are beneficial; many compete aggressively for nutrients and will choke out the life you truly desire. To nurture the seed of divine life within you requires intentionality. Stop treading in shallow waters where you maintain control. True growth happens in the deep, where you surrender fully. This surrender isn't passive but involves active engagement—studying, meditating, and applying what you learn until it transforms your nature. Your growth pace depends largely on your hunger. Some mature quickly through voracious feeding on truth, while others plateau by maintaining comfortable religious patterns without pursuing deeper understanding. Regardless of pace, growth always proceeds through recognizable stages—from blade to head to full grain. Expect tribulation as part of the growth process. Just as harvested grain must be threshed to separate wheat from chaff, tribulation separates what's genuine from what's counterfeit in your life. These pressures don't destroy what's authentic; they reveal and refine it. When contrary beliefs have taken root in your heart, don't be discouraged. Continue flooding your soil with truth until the difference between life-giving and life-draining doctrines becomes evident. Then you can uproot what doesn't belong. Measure your spiritual progress not by supernatural experiences but by the consistent fruit of transformation in your daily life. Are you alive to the word you receive? Does it change your conversations, your priorities, your relationships? True belief always shows visible evidence. The ultimate aim isn't religious activity but becoming the dwelling place of divine life. This is your highest purpose—not merely avoiding wrong or performing right, but cultivating the soil of your heart until it produces a harvest that fulfills your destiny.
